Life in Nevada

Life in Nevada

Employees in Nevada enjoy a small community lifestyle with lots of outdoor recreation opportunities. Although our minesites are in the rural Northern Nevada corridor, all the communities where we operate are located within 2-3 hours drive of Twin Falls, Idaho, Salt Lake City, Utah or Reno, Nevada. The Elko Regional airport provides 4 flights to Salt Lake City daily.

Most people think of Nevada as one big desert, but it is actually the most mountainous state in the lower 48, boasting more than 300 separate mountain ranges and the largest national forest, Newmont Nevada employees enjoy snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the winter as well as spectacular helicopter ski opportunities in the Ruby mountains. If you want to live in a safe community where you can sit outside and look at the stars, Northern Nevada just may be the place for you.
