Martiono Hadianto, president director of PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, recently was elected as chairman of the Indonesian Mining Association, where he will serve a four-year term. He previously served as a board member of a nonprofit non-governmental organization.
The association serves as a link between Government and the mining industry. It organizes lectures, seminars and training activities for members, hosts periodic conferences on mining in Indonesia, publishes proceedings and mining information and represents the Indonesian mining industry at national and international meetings.
