"The strategy will equip people to go to work, address education standards, and build infrastructure and relationships," said Paul Niesler, senior indigenous affairs adviser for Newmont Boddington Gold. "We want to halve the gap between Aboriginal people and other Australians in employment, literacy and numeracy."

The agreement includes better engaging Gnaala Karla Booja people, providing 100 jobs for Aboriginals at Boddington Gold Mine over the next five years and consulting with traditional land owners on community development.
