Newmont Asia Pacific offers student vacation work as part of our commitment to the development of young mining professionals.
On-line applications for vacation work at our Australian and New Zealand sites between December 2008 and February 2009 will be accepted from June 2008.
Successful students are usually assigned to mine sites in their home state. In Western Australia the sites are Jundee Operations (in the Yandal Belt) and Boddington Gold Mine. Students from the rest of Australia may be assigned to the Tanami Operations in the Northern Territory. New Zealand students are assigned to Waihi Gold Operations, in the North Island township of Waihi.
We look for students in their penultimate year, with a strong academic record and a background of personal achievement and a genuine interest in working in remote environments.
The Vacation employment APPLICATION FORM will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. Please complete the Personal & Contact Detail section carefully, ensuring all details are correct before submitting your completed application form.
Applications for the 2008/2009 vacation employment program will open in June and close 31 August 2008. To register your interest, click on the application form link (above paragraph) and follow the instructions provided.
