Newmont has a longstanding Code of Business
Ethics and Conduct which is applicable to every employee of
the company and its affliates. The Code reaffirms the high
standards of business conduct required of all employees. The
Code is part of Newmont’s continuing efforts to ensure
that it complies with all applicable laws, has an effective
program to prevent and detect violations of law, and for the
education and training of employees. In most circumstances,
the Code sets standards that are higher than the law requires.
