KCGM Receives Expansion Approval
The Western Australian government has granted conditional approval to expand the Super Pit, which will extend our mine's life by at least five years. The pit will be deepened and more waste rock storage areas will be built. The mine, jointly owned by Newmont and Barrick Gold Australia, produces between 600,000 to 800,000 ounces of gold annually.
