Newmont Named Best Corporate Citizen
Thanks to Newmont’s commitment to demonstrating leadership in safety, environmental stewardship and social responsibility, the company again was recognized on Corporate Responsibility magazine’s annual list of 100 Best Corporate Citizens.
Newmont is the only mining company in the top 20 (ranked 16th), joining such businesses as Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Gap, IBM and Microsoft. The 100 Best Corporate Citizens list is based on more than 360 data points of publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial performance and governance.
